Addendum
In the new book ‘A Thorn in Their Side: The Hilda Murrell Murder’ by Robert Green:
Chris Bangert’s family has pointed out that Chris died of a known heart condition in January 1994 and that, as far as they know, none of his papers relating to Patsy Dale were missing from his home (p.164).

Laurens Otter points out that, in ‘those labyrinthine pedantic digressions’ he had with Robert Green many years ago, some of his history was misunderstood. He had approved an earlier draft in 2008; however, the need for maximum secrecy thereafter precluded final checks of the manuscript, and resulted on overstating several positions he held.
Please note the following corrections:
- He was not a founder member of the Committee of One Hundred (page 70).
- Although he worked for Peace News, he was not editor (page 71).
- Too young to have served in military intelligence in World War Two, his Army National Service 1948-50 was spent as a medical orderly, after undergoing Intelligence Corps training but not being accepted (page 191).
- Although he worked in Oxford University as a laboratory assistant, he attended Trinity College Dublin, leaving without a degree, but gained a London External degree (page 191).

Gary Murray noted an error on page 64-65, in the sentence ‘In 1963 Peachman had formed and later managed with Murray the Sapphire Investigation Bureau, one of the agencies involved in collecting information on Sizewell objectors.’ This statement is untrue. Mr Murray was never associated with the Sapphire Investigation Bureau or the late Mr Peachman in any business venture. Furthermore, Mr Murray never collated information on Sizewell objectors. Robert Green apologises for this innocent mistake, derived from a media report which he did not check with Mr Murray.
