S4C:    TROSEDD (CRIME):  The Stories that Shook Wales  

                                               Who Killed Hilda Murrell?   (Welsh with English subtitles)

                                    9pm GMT 28 and  29 October 2025  –   Two parts  

A documentary series looking at the murder of peace campaigner and famous rose grower Hilda Murrell, aged 78, in Shrewsbury in 1984. We get a glimpse of the shortcomings of the police investigation and the conspiracy theories. Was there a connection with the secret services and did the correct murderer get caught?

    I can remember as a 17 year old checking Hildas tyre pressures and filling her Maroon Wolseley 1500 with fuel.

    still one of the most intriguing cases in British hhistory will we ever find out the truth? Those involved will be retired now possibly one day more information will come out.
